Hannah Fischer, CPDT-KA

My names Hannah Fischer and I’m a professional dog trainer, offering my services through my business, Fischer’s Family Dogs.

Before starting my own business I spent 3 years learning about dog training and different training methods. I have lots of hands on training experience including working with hundreds of dogs completing a 1-year apprenticeship with Dave McMahon’s Dog Training Academy. I have also worked part time at a Veterinary Clinic since 2021 and now offer my training services at the clinic as well. I am a member of the IACP and have my CPDT-KA certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

I love animals and am passionate about dog training. My goal as a dog trainer is to set you and your dog up for success so they can reach their potential and be the great family dog you both want them to be. You don’t have to know how to do it on your own, I want to help.

My own dog, May, has been with me through the entire process of becoming a Dog Trainer and together we make Fischer’s Family Dogs.

We can help.

Puppy Fundamentals

Getting a puppy is very exciting and it also comes with a lot of responsibility. Through our Puppy Fundamentals Consultation we can give you support to set your puppy up for success. Consults include what you’ll need; discussing collars and safe transport; tips for crate training, puppy biting, and house training; discussing training principles, recall and socialization tips; and more!

Behaviour Consults

We have solutions to your dogs behaviour issues! These behaviours may include: jumping on people, furniture, the counter; stealing household items; getting into the garbage; over-excitement, reactivity; separation anxiety; lack of confidence; anxiety/stress, chasing your cat, digging, barking, fear of thunderstorms/fireworks, etc.

Obedience, Reactivity, Recall

With our private obedience program, reactivity sessions, or recall sessions you get one on one support as you learn new training methods so you can confidently practice throughout the week in increasingly distracting environments. Training is a lot for you to learn! Private sessions can be tailored to you and your pace so that you actually enjoy the process.

We practice in public spaces to make sure everything is applicable in real life settings and your dog is being socialized at the same time! Bonding with and training a dog requires consistency, practice, and intention but the effort you put in now will pay off and reward you, and your dog, every day.
